Polymer lithium battery and lithium battery are two different types of batteries, which have some differences in chemical composition, structure and usage scenarios. Here are their main differences:

1. Chemical composition: Lithium batteries usually use lithium ions as charge carriers, while polymer lithium batteries use polymer electrolytes. This means that the electrolyte inside the polymer lithium battery is made of polymer materials instead of traditional liquid electrolytes. This change makes polymer lithium batteries safer and lighter.


2. Structure: Polymer lithium batteries usually use soft packaging technology, which does not have a metal shell inside, but a soft package composed of aluminum foil and polyethylene film. This makes polymer lithium batteries have higher energy density and smaller volume. Traditional lithium batteries usually have a metal shell to protect the internal electrodes and electrolytes.


3. Safety: Because the electrolyte of polymer lithium batteries is a polymer material, they will not explode or leak toxic substances when subjected to external shock or overheating. This makes polymer lithium batteries superior to traditional lithium batteries in terms of safety and reliability.


4. Shape and size: LiPo batteries can be made into various shapes and sizes as needed, which makes them very popular in portable electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops and wearable devices. The shape and size of traditional lithium batteries are relatively fixed.


5. Charging speed: LiPo batteries can usually be charged faster because they have lower internal resistance. This helps improve the performance and battery life of the device.

In short, there are some differences between polymer lithium batteries and lithium batteries in terms of chemical 

composition, structure, safety, shape and charging speed. Polymer lithium batteries have replaced traditional lithium 

batteries in many portable electronic devices due to their higher safety, lighter weight and better flexibility.
